Seriously… why is that cat staring at me? It hasn’t blinked in like, five minutes. I looked away. Looked back. Still staring. Is it reading my thoughts? Judging my life choices? Plotting world domination? I tried waving—nothing. Just pure, unblinking judgment from a fluffy creature who probably eats spiders for fun.

I think it knows something. Something I don’t know.

Maybe it’s not a cat at all. Maybe it’s an alien in disguise. Or my long-lost spirit guide.
